Sustainability
Glass is an eco-friendly packaging material:
A packaging alternative that evokes positive feelings, glass is crafted from 100% natural components, namely sand, limestone, and soda ash. It is free from impurities and impermeable. Glass can be effortlessly cleaned, disinfected, and reused. Currently, more than 50% of the world’s glass container waste stream is recycled, and it is not downcycled or intentionally incinerated. Furthermore, even if it ends up in a landfill, its inertness means that it does not emit harmful greenhouse gases like methane. Additionally, if glass containers are discarded on our shores or at sea, they will not have any negative impact on marine life.
This highlights the crucial role of sustainability in the manufacturing of glass bottles.
We use inert raw materials to develop, manufacture, and sell premium glass packaging for perfumes, essential oils, cosmetics, and other industries. Glass is 100% infinitely recyclable without any reduction in quality or strength. Closed-loop recycling ensures that recycled glass containers become new glass containers, minimizing waste. Thanks to its unlimited recyclability, glass can be returned to the production process and reused it indefinitely without compromising its quality, neutral flavor, or functional safety. This fundamental unique selling point related to longevity will become a key aspect of Shine Packaging’s future sustainability strategy.
