Introduction to glass bottle decoration technology
Silkscreen
Single-color printing, two-color printing, multi-color screen printing, including enamel screen printing, precious metal screen printing, organic screen printing, etc., can easily achieve embossing effects
Hot Stamping
The metal foil is hot stamped on the surface of the glass bottle. However, glass bottles, cannot be hot stamped directly on the glass bottle. You need to use screen printing to print the hot stamping base ink first, and then hot stamp it. You can get the hot stamping effect on the ink.
Spray
Use an air gun to spray a uniform layer of water-based paint on the surface of the product. Various colors are available, including environmentally friendly paint, gloss, matte, etc. Full-color coating or partial color coating, gradient color can be customized according to customer needs
Electroplating
Different metal materials are selected for uniform coating on the surface of the glass bottle, and the bottle can be fully or partially metalized according to the customer’s specific requirements. Usually gold or bright chrome, but other colors are available.
Roasted Flowers
The plastic decal is pasted on the glass bottle and then baked to form a product with colorful patterns, suitable for irregular-shaped bottle decoration. A variety of colors are available, and the effect is excellent when combined with acid etching, color coating, metallization, etc.
Frosted
The frosting gives the glass a textured, opaque appearance, achieved through acid etching chemical methods or sandblasting physical methods, providing a unique tactile experience that can convey a high-end or luxury product feel.
Labeling
Attach the label paper to the bottle and fix it in the corresponding position. There are label papers of various materials to choose from, such as coated paper, thermal paper, PVC synthetic paper, etc. In addition, the shape of the label paper can also be customized according to customer needs.
Thermal Transfer
The pattern is pre-printed on the surface of the film, and the exquisite pattern on the transfer film is transferred to the surface of the glass bottle through a thermal transfer machine (heating and pressure). This method is widely used because it can generate full-color, detailed graphics. Popular, these graphics can conform to the curves and contours of different bottle shapes.
Crack
This is achieved by using a crackle texture between one base coat color and a different topcoat color. The crack pattern causes the topcoat to break in random patterns, allowing the basecoat color to show through. Cracking is a unique spray that allows the secondary spray to expand during the curing process
Flocking
Flocking on perfume bottles is a complex process involving multiple steps. First, the bottle is coated with an adhesive specifically chosen to suit the material of the bottle and the type of flocking used. Once the adhesive is applied, the finely chopped fibers are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the bottle. The charge causes the fibers to stand upright and line up vertically on the adhesive-coated surface. As the adhesive dries, the fibers are locked into place, creating a textured finish that is visually striking and pleasant.
Laser Engraving
Graphics are engraved onto glass bottles via a laser engraver, adding a great degree of texture, dimension, and detail to the design
Metallization (UV Coating)
Metallization is also called UV coating. The coating is quickly cured by ultraviolet radiation to form a thin film, which plays a protective role, improves wear resistance, conductivity, reflectivity, and corrosion resistance, and enhances aesthetics.
Marble Coating
Marble coating, usually achieved through a hydro-immersion process (also known as water transfer), is a technique that creates a marble or swirl effect on the surface, giving the bottle a unique and often luxurious appearance. This decorative technique mimics the natural grain patterns found in marble and can add depth and character to the glass.
